Split, watts and calories converter
For the Concept2 Rower and SkiErg. Type any one number and the other two fill in. The maths is the same the monitor uses, so the results match what your PM5 shows.
Enter a split, watts or calories per hour to convert.

How it works
Power rises with the cube of speed: watts = 2.80 / pace³, where pace is seconds per metre (Concept2). Going 10% faster takes about 33% more power, which is why the last few seconds off a split are the hardest.
Calories per hour = (4 × watts ÷ 1.1639) + 300 (Concept2). The monitor assumes an 80 kg athlete, so treat calories as a guide to effort, not an exact burn. Compare sessions on watts or split.
The BikeErg shows a 1000 m split and air bikes use their makers' own calorie formulas, so this converter doesn't cover them.
MaxCals turns these numbers into your next session. Send a result after each workout and the next one adapts.
